DC04 Absolute - switch?

My dyson refused to go. Have taken out the switch mechanism ,wiring looks fine, switch appears to click on/off but dyson him no go! (I have checked the fuse). Are there any other checks to wiring/switch that I can do before seeking a replacement switch ,please.

Having taken the switch out it would be good to test it for on/off continuity with a meter, buzzer or a lamp and if you can do this you can test the cable too. Be suspicious of the cable integrity at the extreme ends - persistent tugging by an over enthusiastic operator can sometimes snap an internal conductor in the power cord.

Dysonmedic.com shows how to get down to the level of the motor.

Good luck...
