was doing a smart restore on my hp laptop and someone unplugged charger battery went flat half way through now have no touchpad and half my menus are missing have no reboot disc can anyone help

Can you do another system restore?
Or
Open My computer,
right click c:drive & open properties,
click tools tab, in error checking click check now button, in new box tick "automatically fix file system errors", tick "Scan for and atempt recovery of bad sectors", click on start.
This may fix the error, if not borrow a system disk & do a system repair, some programs may need reinstalling after doing this.
