How can I fix my Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive 603 washing machine?

I have a fisher & paykel smartdrive 603 and when I turn it on and have it set to cold wash the machine tries to start, no water enters the machine, and eventually it times out and emits a continous beeping sound and 5 lights come on, which I presume is some sort of error message. The lights that stay on are the spin light plus the two lights to the left of the short wash light - these three lights are on the top row. The remaining two lights that stay on are the slow and hold lights - the bottom two lights on the right hand column of lights. Do you know what the problem is? I have tried replacing the solenoid valves, and I have also tried shorting out the lid switch and the out-of-balance switch, but the problem still persists.

Those three lights are error code 49 which is a cold valve solenoid fault. You say that you changed the inlet valves so I presume you have put in two new ones and not 2nd hand ones which may also be faulty. Check that you have put the wires back on correctly. Two blue wires to the cold valve & two red wires on the hot valve. If they are new valves & wiring is correct & you have the tap fully open and still get the error code then you have a fault in the controller & it will need to be replaced.
