My screen has gone black and even though my phone still works nothing is coming up on the screen. This usually resolves itself if I turn my phone off for a few hours but it now has been like this for four days.

Try taking the battery out for a few minutes, otherwise the firmware may need flashing. If the handset is still under warranty you should be able to get it done for free.
