Why do I have a Green Screen?

Have recently purchased a Panasonic Plasma TV and when we try to play a DVD the screen is tinted green. I have spoken to the Customer Care Centre who have advised the DVD is sending out an RGB Output and this needs to be changed to composite. I have looked in the manual and there is no mention of changing the output mode. They have also suggested changing the scart leads to the red, yellow and white one (sorry I'm not very technical!!)but this might not work and would cause additional expense! Our 4 year old is very disgruntled as Superman just isn't the same when he is green!

I found that the scart had come loose from the TV just needed a push back and all well.

I have just solved the same problem with a green screen on my Panasonic TX 19LXD8 TVwhen playing a DVD.

I originally connected my DVD player to the TV with a scart lead only - resultying in a green screen.

I have now added a HDMI lead from DVD player to TV and with the necessary set-up alterations on the DVD player and set the TV to HDMI output and now the colour is fine!

Sounds like a faulty scart cable running from the DVD player into the plasma - the RGB (Red Green Blue) send out three seperate signals that are combined at the plasma end, if one of these doesn't get through properly the colour will be off. Try changing the scart.
