Kenmore Heavy Duty 60 series drains too fast!?

We thought that our drain was clogged because every time the washer drains, it overflows out of the pipe that the drain hose goes into. I have to stand there and stop and start the drain to keep it from overflowing. We had a plumber out, and there is nothing in the line. We determined that the washer is draining, kind of like too much at once? When I stop the drain, you can still hear the washer pushing water into the pipe for about a min. after I stop it from draining. Does anyone know what might cause this? I am baffled and ready to just go get a new washer!! Thanks for any help you can provide!

i have the same problem, with a different machine. a plumber told us that newer washers in older houses are not a good combo. he explained that newer washing machines have too much power and that the drains were not made to take that kind of water pressure...or something like that. we have tried everything and have decided our only option was to put a big utility sink in and have the washer drain into that. a humongous hassel!
