I have a Damixa manifold shower control with a central ball control, it is about 35 years old, I can see the ball unit will unscrew, is it possible to get a new ball control.

I'm off to B&Q tomorrow to give it a try. One can only remove the plastic caps (under the chrome handle) to get at the washers with brute force. Being small handed, I needed to use my pliers as leverage...

The Damixa 62000 series taps use a CD insert 13297/13298.
You might get original inserts.
However the '8mm' B& Q own brand inserts are 20 spline , which is correct. They just push the tap-turning-on bit out by 1mm - does not matter, and they work fine. I think £16 for the pair. Bargain !

How do you get the actual tap off so the insert can be unscrewed. There doesn't appear to be a screw or anything to undo?

I have a Damixa Tap, i move in the property in 2006 and the building builds in 2004, so the mixer taps like a moden Econ tap, how do I unscrew it at the top is it clockwiae or anti? I want to know if it had a washer? any idea

I've just telephoned B&Q about getting an insert for our Damixa tap which also is leaking only to be told that the company is no longer in business in the UK and they no longer stock Damixa products - no one else unfortunately seems to know about Damixa products either!

B&Q supply Damixa tap inserts....they should come apart without too much trouble - once you get the chrome top off the insert can be unscrewed (water off, naturally!)
