how to connect tiscali wireless router with a modem?

i have a tiscali 36261 wireless router which i want to connect to my motorola surfboard modem to get wireless. I cant seem to connect can some one please help me.

i have all ready used my modem with my laptop. i have just had it fix and it wont connect to my router???

Assuming that you are in the UK. A Tiscali router will not work - simple as that. They have a built-in ADSL modem as their upstream link. You need a router with an Ethernet upstream link. A so-called 'Cable Router'.

BTW plugging the router into one of the Ethernet ports on the Tiscali router will not work because they are all downstream.
