Best is to re-roof with Plastic or bitumen based corrogated sheets as it was before. If you board it it would have to be fixed on the OUTSIDE not inside for felting plus you would have to stregthen the roof structure as a boarded and felted roof will be heavier seek advice from local merchant take a digi picture to show the roof structure. They might be able to advice about the boarding and felting and how to fix the board to the steel frame.
