Ferguson frg-r121d frozen?

FRG-R121D Dab/FM radio working fine until I switched off the power. Switched back on later, but the display is frozen and nothing works. No help in the instructions, any ideas how to re-set?

Plug into mains, but do not switch power on yet.
Press and hold "select" dial on unit, while holding, switch on at mains.
Display should read "system reset", at which stage , you can release the select dial.
Unit should then do a "quick retune" and reset itself.

ok carefully with the power switched off and unplugged-----open unit and short out capacitor inside---for 10 seconds--- this makes it loose its memory ---let me know
