I have the cistern handle and the plastic pivot bracket for the ideal standard tulip cistern. The pack arrived with both pieces separated. Is there an easy way to put the two lugs of the cistern handle into the two rings of the plastic pivot bracket ?

Thanks for your reply, yes once you start replacing it there is more leverage and you can push it in quite easily. Whilst I did only need the plastic fitting I had to buy the whole assembly but the handle was very worn so I was Ok with that, but it was expensive, the chrome version is more reasonable. I got it from HM James who were very understanding on the phone as I descibed things ! and I received the properly packaged part a couple of days later - Good service !

This is easy. All you do is prise the plastic bracket apart, without too much force. The handle then is sprung into position. By the way where did you get these spare parts? Were they expensive?
