BT external connectors?

For many years, we have had BT telephone wires attached to the outside of our house (which then feed to other houses in the area). I understand that BT should have been paying us rental for this for all this time. New connectors have been fitted today, which involved drilling more holes in our walls.
Does anyone know who to contact at BT

The BT company responsible for installations is called Openreach. www.openreach.co.uk They are at 'arms-length' from the rst of BT and do not normally talk to end-users - in your case they will need to however.

To run cable over your property BT (or any other company) need a Wayleave. They do not necessarily need to pay you rent, it depends on the terms of the Wayleave.

There may well be a Wayleave extent (from before your time) but having said that, they should still have asked your permission before drilling holes in your property.
