I have an old thorn 80-100 boilers and mistakenly drained out water from drain tap at bottom. How do I refill boiler system as boiler now cuts off after only a few minutes operation

it's prob an open vented system, so unless you turned the water off to the feed and expansion tank (or cold feed if it's a primatic cylinder) then it should re-fill itself. If it isn't then you may have an airlock or a choked cold feed. Get a qualified engineer or plumber to have a look.
