The machine drum turns in normal washing mode, just doesn't spin fast to part dry the clothes at the end.
Any ideas?

an edit that applies to the recently moved, like myself.
check the drain pipes at the u-bend. some, like mine, are blanked off.

like baldyjoe said, i had this very same prob until minutes ago, I've just moved and i thought the removal guy's had damaged my 4 1/2 yr old machine.
anyway, on the front of my bosch at the bottom right there is a removable circular plastic panel, i took that off and unscrewed the drain-pump cover found inside, a whole load of foul smelling water gushed out and in it was 1 of my wife's chains, which i presume was inhibiting the pump. all is now well and i can cancel the £69 repair fee i was quoted ;)

check the drain pump could be blocked so it wont spin if there is to much water in the machine. or it could be up for a set of brushes in the motor.
