Hotpoint Aquaris WD64 stopped mid-cycle, now no power?

Our Hotpoint Aquaris Extra WD64 has just stopped mid wash cycle and now there is no power to it - no lights or sounds. Have checked fuse in plug and all okay - is there an internal fuse, what is the likely cause and can i fix it myself ?
