Just replaced pump, diverter valve, and main control board. Machine is now leaking when running a load. In looking for the leak, found that the pump motor was very hot. Do these run hot? Leak is not easy to find. After change of control board, water level was very high on Auto. Could it be leaking from splashing?

Auto will make the machine find the correct level of water to match the amount of washing you put in. It will fill to a small level then turn off the inlet valve & try to agitate while the controller checks the load on the motor. If load is too much it will turn on inlet valve & fill to the next level & try again. It will continue to do this until it is happy with the load on the drive motor. I don't think their is a clamp on that fixture.

Thanks. I did check to make sure I had the right machine size set. When it is on "Auto" it fills up to the bottom of the tub ring, like you describe. Is "Auto" just another fixed depth, or does it change water levels based on some sensor? The pump motor is very warm, almost too hot to touch after a cycle. I did find the leak. There is no clamp holding the shower rinse fixture to the hose coming out of the water inlet area. Is it supposed to have one? I took it off and cleaned the holes so it would work correctly. Some of the holes were plugged and the water was spraying to the side. Thanks again.

Pump should normally be quite warm but not hot after pumping out the water. What do you consider to be quite high for the water level? If you put it on large (full) load and fill it then the water level should stop just touching the bottom of the top ring of the inner bowl. Did you set the correct machine size in to the new controller memory? If you put the wrong size then the water level will not be correct. You should of received an instruction sheet with the new controller.
