Oil fired AGA - problem with DHW supply Airlock problem ?

A friend of mine has an AGA but it's hot water supply is intermittent several plumbers have failed to sort it and the "best" advice so far recieved is to remove the shower head put a thumb over it and rund the tap for a minute. This works but is hardly the fix she's paid quite a lot of money for. Thanks for reading this.

My oil-fired AGA will only light on the inner wick. Why?

This is a pure Plumbing problem and Nothing at all to do with your AGA, the Aga only heats the water!

It sounds like you have a high point in you hot water distribution system, which may be being assisted by a poor cold water supply to the storage tank, which is running dry when using a lot of Hot water, (Bath/Shower etc) leading to an air lock.

Please don't blame your oil Aga, these get enough critism with carboning burners without being blamed for anything else!!
