How to start a Ryobi RCT 2800CB Petrol Grass Strimmer?

It takes several attemps to start(solid state ignition, pullcord). However once it eventually starts, and warms up , its very easy to start again. The petrol/oil mixture is recomended as 20-1, I've cleaned the sparkplug.PLEASE HELP!

I had the same problem but once I cleaned the air filter and decoked the pot then it was all OK. Also previously had the same issue but ended up replacing the plug and setting the spark gap to the correct measurement with a feeler guage.

To start these pesky two strokes, you need to show them who's boss. From cold - full choke, full throttle, a couple of presses on the primer bulb if there is one. Then, pull starter cord very briskly until the engine pops. Then, full throttle but no choke, pull starter cord again briskly and the thing should start.
