my sony trinitron kd-32dx40u turns itself off when it feels like it like it is on standby but the green light is on and the red light flashestwice every 4 seconds any ideas

is your colour going too as mine did it was a tube inside and cost £400 to replace!!! needless to say we never took them up on it and bought a new set. its because tube is away and another is trying to make up for it then overheating causing a short circuit hence it switching itself off. hope this helps xx
