my lg cookie will not charge i turn the charger on and nothing happens ?

what do i need to do to getmy phone to work as i think the charger point on my lg cookie is broken it will not charge when connected and it is my headphone point too . when head phones r plugged in it is like a muffled sound

Mine is the same. And carphone warehouse say that it is not covered by the warranty because it is physical damage. what a joke!
