there is no visual way to see how it was connected. Do i have to buy the door? It was in the house when we purchaced it the house is 13 yrs old

Hi Donna, you do not give a model number so not easy to answer, the best bet is to call an engineer, failing which obtain the parts diagram for the oven itself. If i can help contact me via microwave-repairs.co.uk we can view most models of Panasonic direct from our workshops.
