My tomtom 720 go will not go past an entry screen with a red cross and my computer will not recognise the device ..... the unit ws working well for some tme however this lock out style situation arose when my computer and tomtom when connected together both ran out of charge
any suggestions would be wery welcome

Have you tried hard resetting it?

on the back of it there is small pin hole that a paper clip will go in(says reset) press and hold that for 10 seconds and see if that fixes it
