I too see an error code when I attempt to use my in dash CD changer. Before the error code, I could hear the CDs shuffling for a very long time, so suspect all that needs to be done is to remove the CDs misplaced with a faulty shuffle. When I had a car with a changer in the trunk, this was a simple problem, simple to fix. Now my dealer tells me that with the in-dash, and a car no longer under warrenty, they send the car out of the dealership where the old changer will be replaced with a rebuilt version, I will get the CDs in the old player back, and the cost is only about $600. Hard to believe. My other option, replace the old player woth a brand new player, only a little more than $1000. Also, hard to believe. Does anyone repair this problem with out replacing the player? Surely it must be possible?
