How can i replace the old power steering fluid?

thanks!

mine went bad as small fluid pipe on top of rack was chaffed through by the remote control cables from the gear lever, depends on year some have rods not cables. £5 pipe but could not be bought so £200 all in fitted for a new power rack at my local independant garage...don't consider ford they wanted £500 !!

I would investigate the pipes, reservoir and pump.

You know, if theres a RAPID FIT (devision of ford) near you, you can have a FREE health check on your car, which will tell you where the leak is coming from, how much to fix and any other problems the car may have.

Try empting the fluid and using new fluid in the system. Also check the PAS belt is tight. This is the one normally next to the water tank bolted to engine.

Hope this helps,
