Repair pooling on tarmac driveway?

About six elongated dents across driveway
Tom, August 2009
Are the dents in a line? Do they run parallel or perpendicular to a property? I would recommend being careful with the drilling recommendation - it may be that the dents are actually due to mild subsidence around under ground services - drilling into a underground pipe would present quite a problem!

you'll either have to cut away the sunken section (remove a square where the water is lodging) and repair with fresh a tarmac section (make sure to bitch' the joints). There are no surface repair option you can use to simply fill the dip that will stay in place but if you do want to try a 'cowboy' fix you could mix some very light shingle with cement and sand and black mortar colouring and try and fill the dips this way. alternatively if you just want to get rid of the water, drill a 1/2inch hole down through the tarmac with a 12inch long bit... but watch for underground services.
