How do I stop my BT Studio 3100 flashing all the time on the base unit?

My BT Studio 3100 base unit is flashing all the time, on enquiring to BT they said it was because I had a call unanswered but when I go into the "calls" box, it says EMPTY. How do I stop this persistent flashing.

I went through my list of calls and it stopped the flashing - thanks!

But I agree with the other user that this is a very poor quality phone, with constant buzzing, and caller display only works intermittently (it's fine on my other - non BT - phone).

clear calls list will stop light flashing- if that fails then
go to setup menu and select default setting

I'm sorry if this is a bit 'garbled' because I just messed around with a few things and cleared it 'somehow' - all I did was went into to the 'call list' (as per page 22 of the online pdf manual from BT website) using the 'down arrow' in the middle. As I pressed 'down' a few times, I did notice that some the entries didn't show '0' but seemed to show '*' instead. I didn't have a clue what this meant so I pressed 'x' and deleted them until they all showed '0'. Once all these were cleared it seemed to stop the flashing. I know this is the 'unscientific' method but give it a go - you never know!

I have exactly the same problem. The instruction leaflet and online pdf do not provide any answers.
The phone is also of questionable quality with a nasty background buzz that wasnt there on the previous one that worked fine for 5 years until the keypad gave up. Also poor sound quality.
All in all a bit of a dog I'm afraid and the damn light is still flashing.
Next time I must remember not to buy a BT handset
