Pure One Classic DAB radio power outlet faulty?

Hi, the power connection on my DAB radio is a bit faulty. When I plug in the lead from the mains, the radio won't turn on - I then have to wiggle the connector and then it may turn on. This seems like a basic problem and I'm hoping I can just open up the back and replace the offending part. Thx.

Either the free socket on the end of the power lead has a dodgy connection or the internal connector in the radio itself has a bad connection.

If you have the confidence you can dismantle the radio and check the soldered power connections inside - there might be a bad joint. You may also be able to buy and fit a replacement free-socket on the end of the power wires.

If it were my problem I would seriously consider using a soldering iron to hard-wire the power directly to the PCB input - after all the radio always needs to have the DC power supply connected so fixing it in permanently loses you nothing.

Good luck...
