Our heating is working perfectly but we are not getting any water from our hot water taps. Could someone let us know the possible problems as we do not have a clue where to start looking and if we have to ask an engineer to come out we don't want to be ripped off! Cheers, Sue

the valve that fills the boiler is not turned in the right direction you can turn it in three directions 1.boiler 2.off 3.taps after filling boiler you havent turned tap back to right direction

Sounds like the diaphragm in the diverter valve. If the boiler doesn't fire when you open the hot tap, it will be the diaphragm. You'll have to get a Corgi registered engineer out to replace it. Do not let him make you change the diverter valve as this will be uneccessary and more costly. He shouldn't charge more than £90 to do the diaphragm.
