sabre combie boiler?

no heating or hot water red light stays on if you switch it of for a couple minutes then on green light flashes twice then stays red had corgi engeneer out he said it was the pcb cost over a £100 for part 2nd engeneer said it was pcb coast over £300 3rd person said its not pcb its the thermistor can someone give me advice please they said it has vokera parts

your boiler is the same as a vokera compact. it may be a faulty pcb or sensors. the sensors cost around a tenner each and are easy to fit. a good engineer will be able to test that the resistance of the sensors is correct and rule them out or diagnose the fault.

the pcb will be more expensive, and if it turns out to be that the cheapest way to get it replaced will be to call british gas and ask for a fixed price one off repair (around £160), the pcb won't be much less than that, and to get someone elso to do it may be more expensive by the time you add a call out charge / labour. Also the repair will be guaranteed and if it's not the right part then you still don't need to pay more.
