how can i fix my panasonic tx32pk3?

i have a problem with a panasonic tx32pk3 tv. The screen has started to flicker a white light. I can stop it by powering off/on. Usually the flicker re-appears. If I don't switch off, the white flicker gets faster and more violent. It is like a strobe effect.

There seems to be no pattern to the length of time it takes for the flicker to appear. And no pattern to when we watch.

A recycle of power sometimes fixes it. Sometimes it only delays the time it takes for the fault to reoccur.

Any ideas on what this fault might be caused by and can it be fixed?

Thanks

Try turning the brightness/contrast down to see if that helps.
