my notebook is shutting down?

my notebook is shutting down by itself.it is a fujitsu siemens amilo pentium 4.i think it has to do with overheating.what can i do?

Quick fix: The little rubber legs on most laptops are not made big enough for proper fan circulation.
The fix? simply buy some little rubber chair risers,you can get them from home depot for about $5.00-this will raise the back of your laptop and increase the airflow.
I have a Toshiba satilite 17" that had the same problem but after I raised the back I was able to whatch movies back to back with no problems.

Yeah it is to do with overheating..you really cant do much for it.as long as you have sufficient air around the fans and make sure that the fans are not clogged up with dust.
