Transformer?

OK, I know the HT Transformer on my Bosch HME9750GB/02 combination microwave is cooked and about £170 to replace, but might it overheating have affected anything else, like the condensor, magnetron, etc. There aren't any melted wires, just burnt out coils on the transformer

Either the tramsformer died all by itself or it died because of overwork caused by an external component.

If the txfmr died because an external component caused it then then any replacement transformer will probably also die. £170 down the drain.

For this money you can buy six, cheap microwave ovens.

The death of the transformer is unlikely to have affected any other component - any heat generated will have lasted for only a second or so.
