electrolux door catch?

my electrolux dishwasher door wont shut latch seems to be stuck, so that it will turn on with the door being open

turn appliance off and unplug.now get a hooked piece of metal and put it into the hole at the top of the door where the door latch is and try hook the latch and pull it towards you to reset it.easy 5 second job once you make a strong hook to pull it with.
