this is a media incompatibility error. Basically the media your using is one that is not readable by the system. Regardless of these other helpful people saying its a system update problem. If you have the manual its there: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/117438/Panasonic-Vdr-M50pp.html?page=29#manual . this will take you straight there. Cerrtainly saved me some money and hassle but not before buying the wrong discs. Hope this helps to all those M50 users still outr there.
