Can I use Two Hard-drives Simultaenously?

I've got a Packhard BELL Tower, The computer has a standard hard drive, I have purchased a larger Hard-drive which I want to use as well as the original. Is this possible or would I be putting a strain on the Intel Chip /motherboard. If I can use the H/B's simulteaneously can some one tell me what I need to make them work. REASON:- I need two I have a very large music library which would take days to transfer

Yes you can, if the hard drives are ide, then set the jumpers on the back to slave mode, marked sla, or just s, the original drive should have the jumper in M for master as this holds the operating system, it may be cs cable select, if so move to M or Master. an ide will have a ribbon cable out of it, if its sata, a thin cable with a small black plastic bit on the end, then the pc will just detect it and set it up as a slave anyway. when you have installed this, the computer will install it for you, you may need to format the drive before you can use it, make sure you get the right drive, you may then use this as extra storage,
