how to ?

I am trying to wire wall lights in my living room. I need to go from a household double socket to a fuse switch then to a dimmer switch. Any help or diagrams would be helpfull.
Thanks

Probably easiest to use an inline dimmer such as:

then plug the wall lights straight into the socket.
Not the best way to wire wall lights, but the easiest if you need to go from a double socket.
