I recently moved homes and have just noticed when the wind picks up one of the windows downstairs whisltes quite loud. It does seem to be shut tight. Any ideas how i can stop it?
jp could you elaborate please as i have this problem with a few of my windows and cant trace the source ,are the seals the bits that go between the window and frame when you close it.

Check the joining between the window frame and the wall. if there's a small gap the wind can get in and make noise in your cavity.

Check the seal around the outside of the windows, both inside and outside.
You could always add a small rubber seal to the edges of each opening window (on the frame) to see if that helps.
