toilet leaks in back ?

toilet leaks in back only when flap is up during flushing and stops leaking once flap falls back into place

my macdee concealed cistern is leaking were the flush pipe goes into the back of the toilet do you need to put silicone around this part or should it be water tight ?

Seal between WC and cistern may need replaceing check bolts under cistern may need tighting up but not to tight you might crack pan
