Bleeding the radiator has left me with no water from the hot tap?

Hello...please help, I am a single mum and have just bled my kitchen radiator...I forgot to turn off the mains tap so ended up filling 3 or more buckets full before I realised to turn it off..eek
Anyway, now I have turned the mains tap back on and have water coming out of the cold taps in my house but no water at all coming out of the hot taps...what should I do? Do I need to top the tank up?...I have a Potterton Flamingos 50s boiler..it's gas fired (if thats any help)
I hope someone can help!!

Thank you for your reply, it's very much appreciated!!
I'm dreading getting up in the loft tho as it has no flooring anyway, I shall have a look and see if I can do what you suggested...I'll let you know how it goes...thanks again :)

I'm a little confused by this one as the central heating and domestic hot water systems are not connected together.....however, assuming that your boiler is not a combi type, you'll have to get into the loft and discover the 2 water tanks up there...the smaller one is the flow and expansion tank for the heating (this is the one that feeds the radiators) and the larger one is the header tank that keeps the copper cylinder topped up. I guess this tank has simply got a stuck valve - if the tank is empty you'll get no hot water. Pushing down gently on the float valve should get things going again.
