Might be able to help you on this one as had exactly the same problem with this model, assuming this is an LG. There is an overflow pipe at the rear of the appliance which blocks up so stopping water draining into evaporaton tray. The water can't escape so it freezes and later defrosts and runs onto the lower shelf floor and freezes again. This builds up and eventually runs out onto kitchen floor.REMEDY:Switch off mains power. Remove the freezer trays. Remove 2 screws and carefully remove the large plastic cover (which is clipped in) from rear of inside of freezer compartment. Pull appliance away from wall and remove the metal cover at the base of the rear cover, held by 4 screws. Look in and see the plastic overflow pipe and carefully pull this away at the top. Go back to freezer compartment and look at the bottom left where plastic cover was removed and see a slim pipe probably part covered in ice. Beneath this pipe is the overflow hole!! Use a hairdrier to melt the ice until hole is totally clear. Don't forget to clear the blockage in the pipe you disconnected. Then reconnect this pipe, refit all the bits you took off and turn on mains power. JOB DONE!
