Why is the pressure dropping on my boiler?

I have a Midas BF comination gas boiler and the central heating pressure gauge keeps dropping and I am having to fill it with the tap underneath as I keep hearing a banging sound. As soon as I fill it the noise stops and all is fine but I am having to do this twice a day what could be causing the problem?

I can't see any dripping but there is an obvious wet patch on the floor where is has done. I have checked all round the pipes where i can see without ripping up the flooring and can't find anything leaking

A drop in pressure means there is a leak somewhere, unfortunately. Check the overflow outside first to see if its dripping.
