Had the error 3 with gear stripping noises - pulled the unit out and found the back lh corner (looking from front)of the inner cd module to be opening up - taped tightly together and now OK. This looks like a design fault as there is nothing to hold that corne together. Since there seem to be quite a few error 3 queries around, anyone else want to be daring enough to look the same, quite a simple fix iyam.
