how long should a thermo couple in a glow worm central heating boiler last? Is it common for the gas valve to need replacing?

once thermocouple replaced in boiler it should last good 2 years plus. it it need replacing less than that and flame is not too high than Gas Valve may need replacing as electromagnetic coil is weeker.
