Hi, I hope I can bee of some help!!!!!
It may well be your cut off valve sticking this is located on the top of your injector pump, there is only one wirer that goes to the top of the injector pump (on the left hand side of the engine)(or follow the pipes from the top of the engine and that will lead you to the injector pump) is where the stop/cut off valve is located
1. Pull off the connector (wire) off the top of the valve.
2. Get a long socket to undo the valve, but DO NOT force it.
3. When you undo the valve try and look for any muck or iron fillings that may come out with the fuel, (if there is any thing that comes out with the fuel then this could be singes of pump problems)
4. When out have a good look at the valve and look for any singes of damage or any thing that shouldn’t be there, if in doubt take the valve or/and the vehicle along to your nearest diesel injection place.
5. Clean the valve and replace it
6. If you have not change your fuel fitter for a long time, this could also be why you are having problems with the running of the engine, change it if in any doubt what so ever.(and oil and oil filter as this do make a big difference)
7. If you still have a problem then take it to the diesel people.

You will also need to bleed the pump before you try to start it, you MUST make share there is no air left in the diesel, this can be done by the bleed nipple on the top of the pump and pumping the primer on the top of the fuel filter, when the diesel is coming out with no air tighten up the nipple and then slacken off NOT undo the pipes on the top of the engine then, disconnect the cut off wire from the valve and turn the engine a couple of turns on the key. Then tighten up the pips, replace the wire to the cut of/ stop valve and off you go.

I hope this has been some help to you and anyone else who may have the same or similar problems
GOOD LUCK
Mick
PS. the one below this was my first atemt and is the same but some missing. so good luck
