Staples SPL-1506X shredder?

My shredder does the same thing. I emptied the bin and now all it does is click when I start to feed paper

yes, Power light is not lit, fuse is checked OK and 110 VAC is available on the circuit board. Can find no evidence of overheating

Staples and Executive Machines (the manufacturer) are not much help. Ours stripped the plastic gear driven by the motor. It was out of warranty so we took it apart. All we wanted was a replacement gear. Staples said that Executive Machines won't let them sell parts, and told us to call Executive Machines. Called numerous times and left voicemails. No reply. Emailed and was told that they will not sell parts due to liability reasons. Where's the liability? It is out of warranty, and we would be doing the repair. We already took the stripped gear off.

My quit working, I cleared the paper from the underside, but it still wont work. I did get hot last time I used it. Does it have a fuse?

Any Info would help

I tried calling the numbers provided above and no one wanted to help me out. I just wanted to know what size fuse to use and they kept telling me to send the unit in for repair. Yeah freakin right!!! like I'm going to spend a grip of cash for them to replace a 50 cent fuse.

Have had this happen twice. The first time, it corrected itself.
The second time, I lifted the shredding apparatus off the top, turned it over and brushed off the underside and checked for any jams. I placed the shredding apparatus back on top of the canister and it worked. I have no idea why it started up again, but I did see two small dots that resembles sensors on the underside and I wiped them off.
