How do I empty out my washing machine?

My Beko washing machine is off but filled right up with water (I put it on the hand wash programme) I just need it to empty out so I can get my coat out! I have a suspicion that it has become blocked up as I used soap flakes for a gentle wash (maybe not a good idea). I turned it off because I wanted to set it to drain and spin but it would not drain....CAN ANYONE HELP!!!???

There should be a small hinged opening near the bottom of the machine, normally situated on the right hand side. (this is where the filter is)
Open & behind it you will find a screwed bung.
Unscrew the bung, making sure that you have a container of some sort below to catch the water.
Take care not to let all of the water out in one go as the container will have to be emptied several times to fully empty the machine.
Good luck
