halstead ace bolier lockout problems?

the boiler has gone into lockout mode consistently, i have reset via the button underneath the boiler, runs for a bit then locks out again, the other problem is while running hot water, burner runs for a bit than goes out, thus get hot water for a bit than goes to cold and locks out, also there is a little droplets of water dripping from inside boliler, not very mechanically minded, what could be the problem here, all help appreciated, especially plumbers

I am not a boiler technician but I can tell you for a fact your hot water going hot then cold is caused by the secondary heat exchange unit which is underneath your gas valve been full of shit. You can take it off with an allan key held on with 2 screws- 1 on top of gas valve and 1 at opposite end. Make sure you turn your water flow and return off under your boiler and also cold water mains. Clean it with caustic soda and it will sort your domestic hot water problem out. Droplets of water - ensure all 4 screws are in your diaphran housing as we had 1 missing and it was dripping out there. Lockout problem, check to see if your pressure release valve is leaking outside on wall. If it is you will have to replace it (£8 approx). Hope this helps
