can i use my reusable coffee filter even though it had mold?

Okay i like coffee but hadent used my coffee pot in a long time so i go to open it and we left the old used coffee grounds in it and it had mold on the top i figured it was done for but it was really dry and i just plopped it in the garbage and it LOOKED like there was no mold in the coffee filter so ive been cleaning it wit hhot water and it looks fine but should i even bother using it? or is there a good way to clean it like will dish soap do the trick?

Hot water - boiling water - a run through the dishwasher - all these will clean the mould away. If you're really concerned there's a product called Mliton used for sterilising baby feeding bottles - kills everything and has no aftertaste - home brew sterilising tablets will also do the same thing.

If it was me I'd just make a pot of coffee and see how I was the next day - you'll very probably live.
