Hi all, my HitachI C28W430N-311 TURNS ITSELF OFF INTERMITTENTLY?

When the TV has been on for a certain amount of time it will switch off and on almost instantly(like it loses a conection then gains it back straight away) The pcb has been checked for dry joints and any problem joints resoldered. Now it will not start at all and seems to be in permanent standby!

Hope someone can help!

Can't answer the question but have the same problem. Seems to be worse if using the remote control. We turn it off at the socket and seem to only have a couple of failures before it settles. However it was suggested that static dust may be the problem but without taking off the back of the screen this is not easy to vac.

Hi.

Are you sure that who ever resoldered the chasis has not blobbed solder between two pins acting as a short.
The problem you originally had is usually caused by dry joints,
So check all the soldering that has been done ensure any plugs that may have been unplugged are in there correct sockets.
If a shop did this work complain to them.
