it sounds like the motor is starting ok from what you say,
when there is no loads in the drum see if you you can rotate it.
if you cant rotate it fairly easy then the drum or drum and shaft bearing is probably the cause. Hopfully the drum is ok if this is the case then the moter to drum drive cabel is broken or has come away from its pully. If this is the case then replace the belt or put it back on its pully. its located at the rear of the washer, you just need to remove the back plate. it has about 6 screws, you will easily see the belt path
